These terms apply to your use of sebzuddas.com (“the site”), a personal website run by Sebastiano Zuddas (“I”, “me”). By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Using the site

You are welcome to read, link to and share anything on the site. You must not:

• use the site in any way that is unlawful or that harms the site or other people;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site or the systems it runs on, or disrupt its operation;
• misrepresent my writing as your own, or present it in a way that suggests I endorse you or your work.

Content and licence

Except where otherwise noted, the blog posts on the site are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licence. You may copy, share and adapt them, including commercially, as long as you give appropriate credit and link back to the original.

Everything else on the site, including the site name, logo, photographs and images, remains my property or that of its respective owner and may not be reused without permission.

No professional advice

The site contains my personal views and is provided for general information only. Nothing on it is engineering, financial, legal, medical or other professional advice, and it does not represent the views of any employer or organisation I am associated with. You should take appropriate professional advice before acting on anything you read here.

I try to keep the content accurate and up to date, but I make no promises that it is complete, correct or current.

Third-party links and services

The site links to and embeds content from other websites and services. I do not control them and am not responsible for their content, availability or practices.

In particular, the newsletter is provided through Substack and the shop is hosted on Ko-fi. When you subscribe or buy something, you are also subject to the terms and policies of those services, and any purchase is completed on Ko-fi under its terms. If you have a problem with an order, email me at sebzuddas@icloud.com and I will do my best to put it right. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Availability

The site is provided free of charge, “as is” and “as available”. I may change, suspend or remove any part of it at any time without notice, and I do not guarantee that it will always be available or free from errors.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, I am not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site or from reliance on its content.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Privacy

The Privacy Policy explains how personal data is handled when you use the site.

Changes to these terms

I may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of the page shows when they were last changed, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute, without affecting any rights you have under the consumer protection law of the country you live in.
